Omer's rug is interesting, but I'm unsure about the finish you're showing. It's hard to see in the photo. Keep in mind that a HEADING CORD can only appear at the bottom end of a rug. If there is no fringe, no cut warps anywhere in sight, and just a heavy crosswise finish on the kilim end, it's a heading cord.

It looks, indeed, like you found some crossed wefts in the piece you posted before! Did you have a chance to look for them in Omer's rug also?
