: Dear Marla,
: I didnt handled Omer's rug.
: So I can't say you if there are crossed wets in this rug.
: The Kurdish rug which contains crossed wefts is from North Eastern Anatolia and is often labelled Kars rug.
: I will see with the other participants how we could follow this kind of very interesting discussions even when my salon will be closed
: I think to a kind of permanent salon where we could collect and share the informations.
: What do you think about this idea?
: Look also to the very interesting comments of Bill Eagleton.
: Best wishes
: Daniel
Dear Daniel and Marla:
One possibility is to create a photo archive with photos of rugs front and back as well as with selvege and end finishes. It seems to me that if Bill Eagleton,
Marla, you and I and possibly some others like Harold,
Jim Burns and some other Kurdish collectors collected photos we could start a fairly interesting study group that could add to our collective understanding of these rugs.
Thank you. Michael
