I'm not certain what I am supposed to see. In the discussion about the yellow ground rug, Marla introduced the term "weft ease" in describing what makes the warps appear sinuous. I do not see the same phenomenon in this example - at least not to the same extent it occured in the yellow ground rug.
I am struck by the fact that the wefts are ivory (I would have have expected reddish or brownish) and that there are only two shoots between rows of knots (I would have expected 3 - 5). I don't know that there is any particular significance to those factors. I tend to associate ivory wefts with "Kazak-type" rugs as being outside Kustar production.
