I read the HALI article several times, and there are a number of things about it that bother me, not the least of which is the assertion that there is some range of dates in which the probability of the thing being woven is zero while dates on both sides of it have finite probabilities. That really goes down with difficulty. I'd really like to have somebody who knows the methodology address the sources and magnitudes of the uncertainties.
