: 4. Execution
: Since Salingaros has not addressed these other factors, shouldn't we confine ourselves to the not insignificant task of understanding and then assessing his principles?

Judging rug design aesthetics demands a font of knowledge, a solid base from which to judge. You are asking people to venture forth into dangerous and murky waters, exposed to the elements (and their peer group). It will be interesting to see where this goes.
