  • Central Anatolia Yastik

Today I have another central Anatolian yastik in rather good condition and full pile. I have some doubts if all dyes are natural, especially the orange/apricot (please see arrows in the first picture). Any thoughts?

It seems that it is a Sivas Yastik. I am not a dye expert but it seems to me that they are natural. Otherwise it would be too bright..

Thank you. I just received a mail from a friend who also thinks it is from Sivas. He thinks Armenian people did weave it.

I posted pictures of a very similar piece.

It could be woven by Armenians at that time. Both of them are very nice pieces. At first sight they can be confused with Kirsehir or Mudjur due to flowers and Sycamore leaves. But IMHO they are from Sivas because of the weaving and color spectrum. Congrats...
