Hi dear members,
I have had this rug for a few years now and I call it Balouchi on fire. In the past it has been disputed many times by many rug fanatics as being other then Balouch. When looking at its design I can agree on that (I might be wrong) but when looking at the weave, knots, colors,... It doesn't corresponds to the different Afshar knots.
I do have a theory making me believe it is a variation of Balouch but I would like to get your thoughts on this rug. I also date it to be from the mid 20th Century (ca.1950's), I stand to be corrected off course.
Looking forward to your feedback : -)
Size: 234x108cm
If the pictures aren't clear enough, please let me know.
Much appreciated
