Closing Remarks

Hi All

I would like to thank Walter for very generously sharing his considerable knowledge of weavings from mainland SE Asia, and for persuading his textile-collecting friends there to permit him to share theirs with us as well.

As many of you already know, I consider the textiles of this region to be greatly underappreciated by collectors. They achieve excellence in materials, workmanship and aesthetics, and, in many instances, have ethnographic significance that has not changed for centuries.

I hope many of you have enjoyed this Salon as much as I have.
