The Beshir Prayer Rug

Hi People,

The Beshir prayer rug, number 21 in the presentation, is unlike any that I can recall seeing in the wool or in print.



Does anyone know of similar pieces?

One reference, almost

Steve,

Thompson & Mackie, figure 64, pp 201 is a
black & white of a utility rug with the same
motif as that in the ivory field of # 21.

For more info, you'll have to hold the book
to your forehead and divine away, as Himself
didn't add any details about that specific rug
other than including it in the Ersari section.
