Michael,

You say that the wool should be without pesticides. You mention Australia and other countries. Pesticides kill bugs. How does this affect the wool? Do the sheep eat feed "contaminated" with pesticides?
Would this not make the wool resistant to moths?

In this modern age, is there really any feed not at least moderately contaminated with pesticides?
Are the countries you mention the only wool producing countries using pesticides? Is there any way to test wool for pesticide use? Is there any obvious deleterious or negative affect that pesticides have on the wool?
