Dear Folks,
Now and then you run into reference to something called an aina khalta (mirror container). The only illustration of one that I can recall seeing is in Tzareva's book, and the object so labeled is what everyone else calls either a spoon bag (chemche torba) or a spindle bag (igselik. Does anyone know of another published photo of a mirror container? I have a very small landscape format Yomud bag with a field of aina guls. Do you suppose the name of the gul and the function of the bag have anything to do with each other? Regards, Steve Price |
