sprice@hsc.vcu.edu Dear People, Patrick's title sent me scurrying to the dictionary. Crepuscule? Is it a misspelling of a cell in the blood? Something between a teenager's zit and a full blown boil? As a service to those no more literate than me: the word means "twilight". And, I should add, Patrick's opening sentence rockets him into the lead in the competition for Turkotek's annual Alliteration Award. Happy Father's Day to all for whom it is appropriate! Steve Price

jpweil00@gte.net Steve, No, Crepuscule is not the larvae of the carpet moth, either. I first encountered the word Crepuscule while listening to the music of Thelonious Sphere Monk. He wrote a song with that word in the title for his wife, Crepuscule With Nellie, while she was in the hospital with a serious illness. Carpets are not as serious as the illness of a loved one, but the word does have relevance to the time of day when you can spare a few minutes to walk the dog, read a book, pick a flower or take a closer look at some of your rugs.
