The bold design, the kind of
rosette scattered on the field, the rendering of the four "C" motifs, the
totemic design into the two appendages as well as the palette and the strong colors led me
to think it was from the central western Caucasus. But the structure, even partial, was
more like that of eastern Caucasian origin.
The colors are natural,
strong and saturated madder red with a slight brownish tonality, pinkish madder red in
some rosettes, heavily corroded very dark brown in the medachyl internal minor border,
various shades of golden yellow to medium brown, natural white, different shades of green
made by a mixture of blue and yellow, different shades of blue from light blue and
aquamarine to very dark saturated indigo blue.
