Unfortunately, whether motifs are geometric or naturalistic is not an indication of age. For the most part, it appears to reflect different artistic traditions.

Thanks for putting up the image of the Pazyryk on our Show and Tell Board. I hope we can devote a Salon to it sometime, as there are many interesting aspects to it that are well worth discussing.
