I believed the same thing - until now. If the piece was larger than a "bride's rug", what would I do with it? Then, last month I was offered an Ersari main carpet - the oldest ever available to me (I think 18th c.) It is 7 x 7 with moderate wear, some missing pile, but intact, glorious borders. How could one pass that up - at the right price? It now resides in my closet. Regards, Marvin
