I was struck by your comment about Wright and Wertime's book being maligned in the rug world. It got a rave review in HALI, written by one of the most respected figures in Rugdom. I am unaware of any negative comments about it in the print media, nor have I heard any during conversations with other rug collectors. I know of one review on the web that was critical, but the author subsequently admitted that the review was unfair and motivated by his personal dislike for John Wertime. I think the book is awfully good despite a few flaws, and is almost universally seen that way.
