: I've been following this discussion of web problems and possibilities with great interest, as my own web site is just about ready to go online. Along with its purely commercial aspects (scans of about 175 textiles for a start), I will have miscellaneous background info for beginning collectors, and a more specialized WOVEN STRUCTURES UPDATE page on which I will post feedback that I've received after publishing my guidebook. There will also be notes on structural features I've come across recently.
: For example, one friend brought me a rug that no one could figure out. It proved to be "needle-knotted" pile. I'll post photos and diagrams, and hope that someone will be able to give us an idea of where the mystery rug is from. I want to deal also with miscellaneous questions of technique and structure--subjects not so appropriate for these Turkotek Salons. I hope to put out occasional queries, hoping that we can each look for specific details in our rugs and then pool the information. I have no idea whether or not my idea will generate responses, but thought it would be fun to try. I'll appreciate your suggestions. I'll be www.MarlaMallett.com..... in about a week.

Go for it! The more information and discussion , the better. Please post the name of your site when it goes live. Marvin
