I spent 2 hours for looking at the figures in this rug. What are they?

I finally found out some meaningfull figures.
Here is my theory:
To me, they look like sea side elements (animals)such as scorpions, snakes, jellyfishes, snails, palm trees, etc. The only sea in the region is Khazar. Therefore Azerbayjan having long borders with this sea is probably correct. Additionally, I know there are some groups around an in Konya whose cultures are very similar to azerbaijans'.
This may show that why similar rugs were copied in Konya that mentioned by Wendel.
Result: this is azerbaijan rug.
"Quad Erad Demonstrated" (easily proved) as mathematicans use often. However I might have assumed much and ignored the counter-examples such as colors which are not so blue of a sea:-)

Regards,
Erol
