This topic generated so little discussion that the original posting essentially summarizes it.
I've gotten some e-mail messages from people offering sympathy for the paucity of postings this Salon elicited. I reminded those people that we have a number of objectives. One is to offer collectors (actual and potential) the opportunity to exchange views and information, hence, to learn from each other. That, quite obviously, is discussion driven. Another purpose, though, is just to introduce people to some types of textiles that don't figure very prominently in published sources. In these topics, the original posting and a few comments from others may represent all that can be said, at least by the people who follow and post on TurkoTek. I hope some of our readers have learned a little about Kaitag embroideries from this Salon, and I believe the lack of discussion reflects how little is known about these interesting and beautiful objects.
