Marvin asks: Were they made in the cities mentioned?

I believe so, but those specific attributions are not certain.

And he asks: Are they complete or made up of fragments?

The faces on all three are complete and not composed of fragments. I tried to indicate in the posting that they may originally have had woven backs, but any flat woven back would not last long. Purse #1 is very tight and is sturdy enough to have outlasted several woven backs, which is why the leather was eventually attached.

As to John Wertime participating, that is unlikely because he doesn't do the internet. John is familiar with my two bags, but can't add much to the attribution. He remembers the teahouses from his days in Iran, but has no photographs to aid this discussion.

I hope that some of the Persians can make some posts.
