Comments of William Eagleton: The kilim is a warp faced "cicim" or "jijim" type with 3 strips of warp float design….
It has been purchased in Uludere on the road between Cizre and Hakkari in the rugged Hakkari mountains North of the Iraki border. This is the realm of the Goyan tribe which was in the past a part of the Hartushi confederation.
Such bags, all similar in colour and construction, are a part of the female apparel and are used as large purses or shopping bags and perhaps even to carry babies.
