The attached image includes the Kurdish rug to which I referred a few strings back.
This rug has level wool warps; two runs of red wool weft; 70-80 symmetric kpi; two cord, weft-wrapped selvedge; no original top or bottom; the most glorious wool one can imagine; significant brown corrosion; 8-9mm pile length. The lower image is a Baluchi balisht illustrating the pine trees (Zoroastrian flame trees?).I do not know what name to put on the Kurdish rug, so I'll let all of you try.
