If we were to resolve this definition some people would be greatly aided in their collecting efforts. What is it and why are we looking for it are related and important questions. The term ethnographic means alien writing to me. I am looking for evidence to better inform me about their varied and wonderful differences. I am at some really basic level numbed and appaled at the specialization and personal detechment from work that our society has engendered. I am definitely romantically involved with the notion of a life lived under no rule but that of radical freedom. It looks like anarchy from here but I bet it looked like heaven from there. It is just that sense of the divine otherness that acts as a catalyst for my collecting needs and urges. The transference I experience when in the presence of something of great virtue is a never ending fountain of joy. James Allen
