I hope I didn't imply that I thought you weren't being nice; I surely didn't mean to do so. My disagreement was/is with the notion that we are culturally impoverished. I'd be happy to defend the position that anyone looking at this board is among the most culturally enriched folk who have ever trod the earth. Not living in a tent andd not worrying about horsemen with bows and arrows coming after us allow us to indulge in all sorts of cultural luxury. We don't know much about Turkmen, but I'll bet we know a lot more about them than they do about us.
