The ICOC Dealer Fair - Some Portraits

Hi People,

I bought a jazzy new digital camera a month or so ago, and took a bunch of semi-candid shots in the ICOC Dealer Fair. I think all the folks I photographed are good people, but so are a lot of the ones that I didn't photograph, and I wouldn't want anyone to read hidden meanings into omissions. Who I photographed had an awful lot to do with opportunity.

With that disclaimer, here are some of the dealers. Let's start with Andres Moraga and Danny Shaffer (Danny isn't a dealer, but HALI had a booth and Danny seemed to be everywhere with his camera).



Here are Casey Waller and Mehmet Cetinkaya, surrounded by silk (as is their custom).


Bertram Frauenknecht is a familiar name on our forums, and is host of the Salon that will close in another day or two.





Michael Craycraft is another familiar name on our boards.



Here's Ron Hort, obviously having a good day.



Two more of our frequent participants, John Howe and John Collins, looking over a Bijar rifle cover.



And last, but certainly far from least, my wife (Jean) with Berdj Achdjian and his son, Zadeh.



Again, my apologies to the folks not included in my little photo gallery. Being omitted is not intended to be a negative statement. And looking at some of the photos, I probably owe apologies to some of the people I included, too.

Dear folks -

I also have a few ICOC X photos, albeit not strictly speaking taken only at the carpet fair.

First, here is one of Steve and Stephen Louw, who several of us got to move from the virtual to the face-to-face category of acquaintances.



And here's one of Steve's son Nathan, who had earned and just received a "killer" goalie's helmet. He brought it along to the conference.



This is a helmet sufficiently intimidating that some opposing offensive players will likely (and wisely, Nathan is good) skate away.

This third photo is of Steve and Jon Thompson at breakfast one morning.



Finally, here is Tracy Davis and her husband, Lance Heisler, again at breakfast one morning.


Tracy says that this is not her favorite photo, but if it takes a little of the fine edge off what you can see are the basic good looks of this couple, that's only fair for the rest of us.

Hi Folks,

Since John posted a picture of Nathan holding his new goalie helmet, I'm sure everyone has been waiting for one of him wearing it during a game. Well, your wait is over. Summer hockey league started this week, and here he is in the opening scrimmage.



And, of course, if anyone would like a large, high resolution version of this image, just let me know.
