Bamluck Maluch

First of all, everyone at the event is dressed up quite nicely. At our local rug meetings you might find shorts, T-shirts and sandals.

The second rug, Cat.3, is definitely a Baluch. The border is a dead giveaway.

And if it is not a Baluch, it does have some vague similarity to the Cairene Mamluk rugs, both in coloration and design. It is almost as though the Egyptians took a nice, clean design and metamorphosed it into a nearly unrecognizable pastiche.

I would call it a Bamluck Maluch.
