Some Captions Not the Right Ones

Dear folks -

We likely need to suspend discussion of the pieces on Dennis Dodds' Anatolian exhibition for a few days.

Dennis was traveling and not available to check our copy before we put up the initial essay. But he contacted me last night saying that some of the gallery labels we have matched to the rugs selected are not correct. (I took photos and then got the gallery labels separately and had the job of matching descriptions to images. Apparently, I was not always successful.)

This is particularly unfortunate since one of the mislabeld pieces is the yastik that we have begun to examine.

Sorry.

I'll talk to Dennis and the Museum staff on the side and try to get it straightened out.

I'll signal again when I think we are on more "solid ground."

Thanks,

R. John Howe

Hi John.

The correction for the yastik - at least - is done. I'll put also the right text in the yastik thread.
Regards,

Filiberto

Dear folks -

We think we have caught and made all the needed changes in the initial salon essay.

So discussion of all of the pieces can go forward.

Our (mostly my) apologies.

R. John Howe
