Today I would like to share a Melas with an unusual dating. It measures 140x240. It is dated 1288=1871 (this is what I read). One Kilim end is still complete, the other one is just a fragment. Some colors are corroded. Judging from the colours and weave I would have said it was older! Did someone see a similar rug before?
