Hi Cornelius,
I'm not sure what you were hinting at, but to me it seems "genuine" rather than a very late piece from near the Afghan border, or from a refugee camp. It has the visual hallmarks of Yomud work, and although the construction seems maybe a bit more hurried in some respects, does look consistent from a structural viewpoint. I would guess 1900-1940 w/respect to likely age; the somewhat more crowded graphics fit with later pieces, as does the lack of green.
Regards
Chuck

Hi Steve,
Thanks so much for having me back (after a decade or so) yet again Turkotek proves to be a high class, invaluable, irreplaceable source of expertise. The software problem has been solved in the meanwhile, the problem was with me not with the Turkotek. Thanks for your Ersari hint, if you wish I can come up with a closer shot of the fringes.
Best wishes to you,
C .

Thanks for your expertise, it's interesting that you mention the lack of green as an indicative of its being more recent rather than very old .
It's also in a good physical condition which may hint at a younger age.
