  • Help with saddlebag ID please

I just received this picture from my mentor in that he found in Zurich today at a flea market. It does have goat hair on the borders and loops and is well used. Somewhat of an unusual find since it wasn’t cut into two pieces so so many that made it to Europe. Any ideas of where it could have came from? My first uneducated guess was a Balouch piece and based on the hints of blue and the goat hair, I’d probably start at 1940 and work backwards.

    Hi Joe

There's no question that it's a pair of saddlebag (khorjin) woven by Belouch group weavers. Date attribution is beyond my pay grade.
