Impossible odds - Have you seen this?

Here is an amazing rug map that was hand painted in 1979/1980 in Hamburg, Germany. The original is very large and possibly 5x8 feet. This artwork took many months to complete and was commissioned by a rug dealer in Hamburg who later sold it. It changed hands a few times and In 1985 a Hali magazine (issue 27) full page ad, offered a limited run of 300 copies for sale at 190 DM each.

I have purposely left names out and can provide them in a private message. Have you ever encountered a copy or the original of this piece?

I am trying to locate the original. I believe it may be in Germany or Iran. The seller of the copies, Mr. Stolten, was contacted in 2016 and hasn’t seen nor heard of the whereabouts of the original since 2008.

Correction on the size. It’s an amazing 3x4 meters, or approximately 10x14 feet.

I now have a copy of the original that was offered in Hali from the 1985 issue. It’s rather large and framing it should be interesting. The original artist had a few copies left in storage in Hamburg. Still looking for the original. Not to buy, just to learn where it is and what condition it is in.
