Hi,
This one? I don’t have the book but in our friend Pierre Galafassi's database there is this rug, probably the same from the file name, it’s a Konya, XVIII cent. We don’t accept pseudonyms in this forum. Please edit your registration accordingly or send your full name to Steve or me. Regards, Filiberto Boncompagni |

Hi Filiberto and our pseudononymous interrogator,
I believe the rug on the cover is a detail of the first plate in the book. It appears to be a perhaps somewhat later version of the one in Pierre's database that is published as plate 66 in Carpets of the Vakiflar Museum Istanbul. Joel Greifinger |

Dear Filiberto&Joel,
thank you for your fast and helpful replies. It is exactly the carpet I was referring to. I also believe it is a later version, however, I am wondering if it is more first or second half of 19th century? Thank you and best regards, Thomas Hainlen |
