Default a famous 1933 crivelli (sivrihisar?) carpet

it is no surprise that nobody posted this photo earlier as there are very few - if any- turkish rug enthusiast (as in from turkey) on any international rug forums. (perhaps due to a language barrier)

yet probably every internet user in turkey would have been exposed to this photo of "10th anniversary celebrations of the foundation of republic of turkey" featuring m. kemal ataturk and 2 -what appears to be- crivelli carpets quite similar to the one featured on hali (sivrihisar 1400s) by diyarbakirli.

judging by the date of the photograph (oct 29, 1933) and the possibility that the two from the same loom still not cut apart may well mean they were produced that very year!

ps. i am sending this message on a mobile device. i have tried copying and pasting the photo, hasn't worked, i'm sending a google image search link, hope this works. if that fails; please copy and paste "29 ekim 1933" on google, and search for images.

I did that Google search and got thousands of images. If you'll send me (sprice@vcu.edu) a JPG of the image you're talking about, I'll be glad to insert it in your message.
