Travels in central Anatolia

The England Oriental Textiles and Rugs Society visited south central Anatolia, the tour was led by the club president (Louise Teague) and myself. We tried to discover undiscovered Anatolia. Our tour started at Antalya, went to the Toros Mountains, Dosemealti, Egridir (an ancient city). We visited lakes, Beyşehir, Konya, Obruk, Sille, Çatalhöyük, Nuzumla, Botsa and Hatunsaray. We stayed in small nice hotels and ate at local restaurants, sometimes picnics. Everyone had a nice time and got a chance to see real Turkey. We invite other rug clubs to see what we have seen. Here are some photos taken by the members of the group.
